As mentioned before, All-Star Weekend was fun. However, vacations don’t last forever. This season has been fun. Tragedy has struck us all with losing David Stern and Kobe Bryant along with his daughter Gianna of the NBA. However, this has still been a fun season. It’s been like a home-made soup in a sense. You chop up your vegetables and your meat, put a little seasoning in it, and you say hmmm, something’s missing. Yes, we are missing former MVP Steph Curry. The Warriors will finish with the worst record in basketball this season. And with that comes the best pick. Along with that, they have a solid 2-way player in Wiggins at the 3 and Draymond Green is still a force as well. They will be back on the map as contenders next season. Who knows, maybe they trade that top lottery pick for another star?

The Cavs John Beilein has decided to resign. The guy simply hasn’t gotten it done in Cleveland. Kevin Love and Andre Drummond will probably be wearing different uniforms next season too. As fun as it’s been watching the Hawks, their Head Coach Lloyd Pierce may be out as well. The Hawks will still be fun no matter whose coaching them as long as Trae Young is there. Clint Capella was a really good pickup for them too. They will be a scary team in years to come. The Timberwolves finally got their PG and it only cost them Andrew Wiggins. D-Lo is probably the most underrated and underappreciated G in the league. They will score a ton of points. However, they will give up a ton of points too.

The Knicks made some front office moves. They were solid. However, as long as James Dolan is the owner, they will struggle. RJ Barrett has a chance to be a really good player in this league. But look for him to want out like Porzingis did too. Detroit Basketball has not been played all season. While they gutted their team by trading Drummond basically for nothing, they essentially have no trading pieces. Blake Griffin is basically untradeable with his injury history. The only good thing this team has done is saved D-Rose’s career. The Hornets have some nice pieces in place but the only problem is they don’t fit together. The Bulls have been hit with the injury bug and the Wizards are easily giving up the most points this season. The Kings too have had injuries. They also have some real issues they need to address in the front office. I hope they can get it together because they have A LOT of talent on their team. The Suns started the season red hot. They have a good team. They’re just young and inexperience can hurt you at times. Progress has definitely been made as Devin Booker was an All-Star, much deserved too.

The Pelicans have their guy in Zion but he came back too late for them to make the playoffs. They have maybe the best roster in basketball. Still, time is needed to mature the team. Zion is really good and the pieces around him are good too. The Spurs are just old. We knew the time would come where they would see light at the end of the tunnel. Look for them to go through a complete rebuild this summer. LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan will be gone soon. The Portland Trailblazers may have the best starting 5 this season. However, you got to play defense and stay healthy. Damian Lillard is one man and has been a one man show all season. This team just needs an offseason to get themselves together. They’ve had a lot of deep playoff runs over the last 5 or 6 seasons now. They’ll be fine next year.
