Watch Out For The Seahawks

Don’t look now, but the Seattle Seahawks are good this season. They’re so good, they may even win this division. They’re so good, QB Geno Smith has had MVP considerations despite the Seahawks trading for Drew Lock, a QB involved in the Russell deal who was supposed to be the starter. The Seahawks are so good, they are beating all odds as we all expected them to tank and be the worst team in the league this season. We have to give credit where credit is due. Many were quick to try to write Head Coach Pete Carroll off this year. Injuries are always part of the game & Seattle has had some crucial injuries to nearly everyone on their offense. WR DK Metcalf has been banged-up this season. DK is their best WR too. Even RB Rashaad Penny has missed a lot of time this year. He’s expected to miss the rest of the season due to a fractured fibula. Rookie RB Kenny Walker III has filled in nicely as he has become one of the league’s best RB this season! Seattle has had some impressive wins this year. A lot of their impressive wins have been games we would expect them to lose. They started off defeating Russell Wilson and the Broncos, as Russ was seeking revenge against his former team. They then went into Detroit and scored 48 points as they won by three in that thriller matchup. And today was the second time they defeated the Arizona Cardinals, a team many had expected to win the NFC East. The Seattle Seahawks look like they will be heading to the playoffs this season.

Joe Mixon: The Fantasy Savior

No doubt, this has been an up-and-down year for the team who lost in the Super Bowl last season. The Bengals have shown a lot of inconsistencies and have also had some injuries now that Jamar Chase is down with an injury. The Bengals are now fighting to stay above .500 and have turned their focus to RB Joe Mixon. Mixon is rostered in 100% of leagues as he is one of the best fantasy players in the game right now. Despite that being the case, Joe has been a bit underwhelming this season. This past week changed everything as he made like the O’Jays and gave the people what they want. Joe Mixon scored five total TDs vs. the Carolina Panthers as they won 42-21. If you had him rostered but chose not to start him, shame on you! His performance alone surely has won fantasy owners’ games this week. Even if their QB may have gotten hurt and didn’t even play the full game, certainly Joe Mixon’s performance picked up the slack in that department. Keep Mixon in that starting lineup because he is only getting started and will be forced to carry even more of a load with the injury to Jamar Chase.
