Robb Johnson’s ” Quick Opinion” #16 Miami Hurricanes at Virginia Cavaliers

I have five quick takeaways from this ACC Contest from Saturday Oct 13, 2018! This game could have huge ACC Championship Game implications. Lets start!

1. Both teams have very shaky passing games.

2. The Miami Hurricanes need to get rid of the turnover chain for the rest of the season. It is very embarrassing to have an average football team with a chain, that should be saved for a team with more prestige.

3. The Virginia Cavaliers are a team on the rise. Bronco Mendenhall is a coach that will be at Virginia for a long time. Mendenhall with the upset over #16 Miami, helps Virginia’s recruiting and it shows that the program could be ready to take the next step.

4. Miami is not back and they were never back. Miami is a program that has not won a national title in a decade in a half. The ACC is only going to get better as time goes on. The Canes had a golden opportunity on Saturday to move up the standing and get back into the playoff pictures.

Now they will be lucky to get a decent bowl game. 

5. Mark Richt is on the hot seat, and Virginia will beat Virginia Tech this year.

Virginia’s next home game will be October 27 vs North Carolina at 12:30pm
