Who Should Win MVP This Season?
Over the years, it seemed like the only candidates for this award are QBs. Aaron Rodgers has won it in the last two seasons. Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson have been deserving recipients of the award too. Of course, the GOAT Tom Brady won it recently too back in 2017. The last player that isn’t a QB who won this award was Adrian Peterson way back in 2012. This season shall be no different from what has been the trend over the last few years. The Top Five MVP Candidates should be QBs – Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson. It’s extremely early to say who the clear-cut winner of this award should be. It’s also difficult to tell because there’s no clear runner at this point either. Jalen Hurts has the Eagles flying high as they only have one loss for the season. Tua has had a bit of an interesting season due to injury. But his numbers are always good. He takes care of the football. And the Dolphins are undefeated when he plays. Mahomes and the Chiefs look pretty dominant. He is the best QB in the league and it’s not even close. Josh Allen has been doing it all on the field. Along with Lamar Jackson. Not only are they the starting QB, but they play like they’re the starting RBs too. If I had to choose someone to win MVP, I would have to say it’s Tua Tagovailoa. Who expected the Dolphins to be this good? The scary thing is they haven’t even tapped their full potential yet.
Giants Flying High Under The Radar
From a division that was the worst in football a year ago, to a division that is now the best in the league, the New York Football Giants look legit. There’s no better feeling than to be playing well and not have all of the attention put on you. That eliminates pressure. That eliminates egos and offers some of the best chemistries a team can ask for. The Eagles have been getting all of the attention. On top of that, the Cowboys are good this year too so they have been getting a lot of love as well. Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott are the best QBs in this division. Like Uncle Ben told Peter in Spiderman, with great power comes great responsibility. Daniel Jones was close to being benched. On top of that, he was close to being replaced. He now looks like a building block and a good piece to pair next to their star, RB Saquon Barkley. He is having a monster year as he leads the league in rushing yards this season. The Giants are built a lot like the Eagles. They run the ball well. They take care of the ball offensively too. They’re not committing a lot of turnovers every game. And most importantly, they play smart football and make the right play just to move the chains. The Eagles may be on top of the NFC East. The Cowboys may be the talk of the NFC East as well as the league too. But the New York Football Giants may be the last team standing in the NFC East.
