Virginia Bounces Back with Dominant 42-3 Victory Over Delaware

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — September 26, 2026 — Virginia returned to Scott Stadium with a point to prove Saturday night, delivering a commanding 42-3 victory over Delaware during the program’s annual UVA Strong game.
Coming off its first loss of the season against West Virginia, the Cavaliers responded with an impressive performance on both sides of the football, improving to 3-1 overall.
Quarterback Beau Pribula led the offensive charge, completing 24 of 28 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns. He also added a 14-yard rushing score, accounting for five touchdowns before exiting late in the third quarter.







Virginia established control immediately. Pribula connected with Da’Shawn Martin for an 11-yard touchdown on the opening possession before finding Rico Flores Jr. for a seven-yard score early in the second quarter.
Delaware briefly cut the deficit to 14-3, but the Cavaliers responded with two touchdown receptions from Kameron Courtney, including an explosive 52-yard connection.
Virginia entered halftime leading 28-3 and never looked back.
Pribula’s third-quarter rushing touchdown extended the advantage before backup quarterback Eli Holstein connected with Josiah Abdullah for a 74-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
The Cavaliers finished with 556 total yards, including 437 through the air.
Defensively, Virginia delivered an equally impressive performance, limiting Delaware to 160 total yards and just 71 passing yards. The Cavaliers recorded three sacks and forced two interceptions, both by Keke Adams.
