We go racing at Road America which is a course that is just over four miles long. Chase Elliott will bring us to green and battle against Chase Briscoe. The battle will end with Chase Elliott winning the battle for now. Chase Elliott did radio into the team that he is still having steering issues. Kyle Busch’s car gets loose and collects Aric Amarillo. The cars will start talking to the crews about how pits are going to work as this pit road is backward. A lot of drivers and crews will opt to come down pit road just before pit road closing. The question will be what the leader Chase Elliott will do after the drivers peel off. The other problem will be extremely cautious on pit road. Everything is set up backward and drivers will not be able to see if they are driving through too many pit boxes. Denny Hamlin gets hit with this penalty. Chase Elliott will give up the lead because they do not want to be back in the pack. This will give the lead to Chase Briscoe. Austin Cindric will try to catch Chase Briscoe. They were second apart but Chase Briscoe will win stage one.
Chase Elliott will bring us to green for stage two. Denny Hamlin will get hit with another penalty for driving through too many boxes just before the start. The first lap comes with several cars making contact with one another. The battles are within the middle of the pack. Chase Elliott will maintain a crazy lead until he gives it up just before the end of stage two to pit. He will hit the pit road and take tires and fuel to not get thrown in the back.
Stage three gets underway and we see Chase Elliott lead us back once again. Things will get dicey once cars start making moves for pit road about halfway through the final stage. This is when things do change and we start seeing that change. Chase Elliott will go into the pits and the shake-up will truly begin. Once all drivers pit we will see who will be leading the race. It appears that Tyler Reddick and his team will get around Chase Elliott. With that Tyler Reddick will more than likely be watching his mirrors the rest of the race unless Chase can get around him. The other issue will be if there is a caution for any reason. With the track being four miles long it will need to be significant. Chase Elliott will try to catch Tyler and uses his equipment up trying to catch him. Tyler Reddick will become the unofficial winner of Road America.
