One of the greatest movies of all time happen to be “The Avengers”. No, I’m not just talking about the most recent one, “Endgame”. The first one gave us something we never seen before. It was the initiative movie. In the second one, we still appreciated it as it was enhanced tremendously. The third one, we were left at the end of our seats only to have to wait a whole year to see and wonder what will happen next. Finally, we get to the Endgame. The last of an amazing run for these heroes. If you look at it, the Avengers movies happened along the same realm of the Golden State Warriors.

The first year the Warriors won the title, we all have never seen anything like it. The Warriors changed the game of basketball. Many in the league were left wondering how we can stop the “Splash Brothers” , Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. In championship years 2 and 3, the Warriors were enhanced, adding Superstar Kevin Durant after losing to LeBron (Thanos) once he snapped and this brings us to the Endgame, adding All-Star Boogie Cousins. The Avengers: Endgame had a phenomenal ending. It really was the end of an era. What we may be watching with the Warriors could very well be an end of an era in Golden State. Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Boogie Cousins are all set to become free agents this summer.

LeBron=Thanos???

Bob Myers (GM), Joe Lacob (Owner), and Steve Kerr (Head Coach) are all already anticipating dramatic changes to occur. Klay Thompson has been linked to The LA Clippers and Lakers. He was born in LA and his father, Mychal Thompson, actually played for the Lakers from 1986-1991. Klay may look to follow in his father’s footsteps. What about Kevin Durant? Durant has a Player Option, but he may decline that option and take his talents elsewhere. While he’s had success in Golden State, he also had success in OKC. This is all about storyline for Kevin. While he has the numbers, he has the money, all of the rings he has may have an asterisk next to it in the record book due to the fact he joined a team that was already winning championships without him.

At the end of the day, Kevin Durant is the side piece. He will NEVER be the Husband. And while the Warriors may like Kevin Durant, the Warriors along with all their fans love Steph Curry. This will always be Curry’s team. Deep down inside, Kevin knows this. While he has proven everything he possibly can to the world, his next thing to prove is that he can win on his own. The Golden State Warriors know this. So they are already preparing for an ugly breakup. A Sign and Trade may be best for this situation. We don’t know what may happen. But we do know that Durant has been asked about this summer free agency plans all season and he’s tired of talking about it. Look for every team in the league to take a crack at KD, including the LA Lakers and New York Knicks.
