What To Make of The Jaguars

The Jaguars were the talk of the league this past summer. They struggled extremely bad last season only managing to win just a single game. This year, they already doubled that with 2 wins for the season but it’s not looking like they will win any more games this year. All the hype for the Jags came this past summer. Not only did they get the #1 Pick and draft the most hyped QB we’ve seen in history, but they also managed to get one of the ALL-TIME Best Head Coaches in College Football in Urban Meyers. Meyers have a college record of 187-32. He’s one of the most successful coaches in college football of all time. Simultaneously, QB Trevor Lawrence is of the same accord. Lawrence went 38-2 in his college career at Clemson. He was the most talked about product we’ve seen in awhile. Things haven’t gone according to plan for either Lawrence, Meyers, or the Jaguars. The question is why? Well for starters, we all know college and the NFL are 2 different ball games. They’re both rookies arguably speaking. It’s going to take time to adjust to the NFL. Lawrence and Meyers came from winning programs. They’re used to winning and having some of the best players and coaches around them. Playing for the worst team in the league last season, it’s the complete opposite. I hate to say this, but it needs to be said. Trevor Lawrence may be a bust. He hasn’t looked absolutely terrible. But on the flip side, he hasn’t looked good either. They have a few weapons in Jacksonville. Somehow, they still can’t seem to figure things out. Now it’s just year 1. I wouldn’t expect Lawrence to get bench. However, keep an eye out on Urban Meyers. He will be the one to get canned if anything.

Mac Jones Will Win Rookie Of The Year

Good things come to those who wait. I’ve heard this a ton growing up. And perhaps I’m sure too you have as well. After losing Tom Brady, the Patriots struggled last year. Cam Newton came in, but let’s be honest. Cam Newton is no Tom Brady. The Patriots also loss a ton of weapons offensively. Quite frankly, they never had extraordinary weapons to begin with. Cam Newton needed some help to be successful. We all know they wasn’t trusting in Cam to keep the franchice alive. He was simply filling a void. They got a good draft pick after struggling last season. But it still wasn’t a desirable draft position. They seen ALL the top QB’s get drafted from Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, and even Trey Lance. But the Patriots had to play the waiting game and Mac Jones basically fell right into their laps. Somehow, someway, this was the best thing that could happen for them. He was the best option at QB out of all the previous QB’s drafted before him. And somehow, someway, he reminds us all of his predecessor, Tom

Brady. I know it’s early in the game, but Mac Jones has been improving each and every week. He still doesn’t have the best of weapons, but what he do have it the best of Coaches. Along with having the best of Coaches, he has the best of records and it’s looking like the Patriots will make the playoffs too. With success, he will win Rookie of the Year if he continues upon this path. If they add a few more pieces, the Patriots may get yet another Super Bowl. This time, it will be without Terrific Tom.
