The game of basketball is a game of ups and downs. Sometimes, the ball just won’t go in the basket. Other times, there are moments when you feel like you can’t miss. No matter the case, in today’s game, scoring is an importance. Scoring in the NBA nowadays is a priority. You can play defense as good as the “Bad Boy Pistons”, but if you’re not scoring at ease, chances are more than likely that you won’t have much success winning many games. That is why it is vital to have someone who can light it up any given night. The Wizards have that guy in Will Barton.
Generally, when we think of individuals who offer instant offense, we think of guys like Lou Williams and Jason Terry. Those guys could give you 30 points easily rather they were starting or coming off the bench. But the problem was their size. They would give up 30 points just as quick as they would give you 30 points. Will Barton isn’t a premier defender, however, he does offer you size on the defensive end. He’s athletic and quick enough to guard multiple positions, something that is key in today’s position-less game. Barton has been one of the better scorers off the bench in the league over the years. He’s proven to be a tremendous 3 point shooter, something that is coveted in the NBA nowadays. He’s also proven to be a true professional.
He simply wants to win. He doesn’t complain about the minutes he may not get or if he’s in the starting lineup or not. He is a true baller and he will fit in quite well with the Wizards. The Wizards can honestly run a lot of offensive sets through Barton as Bradley Beal may be getting a breather. Every team in the NBA needs a player that can carry your offense at times and play multiple positions. That player for the Washington Wizards is Will Barton. He will prove to be a special and prominent player for the Wizards this season.
