ODU’s Ethan Duane Named to Ray Guy Award Watch List

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Old Dominion University Football punter Ethan Duane was named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List, the Augusta Sports Council announced.

A native of Melbourne, Australia, Duane earned Sun Belt honorable mention honors in 2022, as he finished sixth in the league with a 42.9-yard average and led the league with 28 punts downed inside the 20 with just three touchbacks.

Duane was named a Ray’s 8 National Punter of the Week nominee four times last season.

A total of 50 players were named to the watch list and just two from the Sun Belt. Duane and Ryan Hanson from James Madison.

The Monarchs open fall camp today before opening the season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Virginia Tech. ODU opens the home slate on Saturday, Sept. 9 against Louisiana. For single-game tickets and more information on the home opener, click here.
