The Will Levis Era Has Begun

The Titans have been in a bit of a bad marriage over the years with QB Ryan Tannehill. Things haven’t gone very well lately. It started off so great in the beginning. However, there was a bit of infidelity when Malik Willis came to town. The Titans and Ryan Tannehill tried to reconcile. However, things have gone from bad to worst and now Will Levis seems to be “The One” for the Tennessee Titans. It took awhile for them to make this decision public to everyone. Levis was drafted in the second round with expectations of being drafted in the first. Patience is a virtue. We see gems of Jalen Hurts as he was a second round draft pick and we always know and remember Tom Brady as a sixth round draft pick. Will Levis came in after waiting patiently and threw four touchdowns in his first career NFL start as the Titans defeated the Atlanta Falcons 28-23. Will Levis didn’t turn the ball over at all in this game as he passed for over 200 yards too. He fed the hot hand and looked for his best receiver as much as he could in DeAndre Hopkins. D-Hop had three of the four touchdowns in this game. What’s impressive too is the fact that he still depended heavily upon Derrick Henry. King Henry had one of those games we been looking for him to have as he rushed for over 100 yards. It’s early, but we know Malik Willis isn’t the guy for the job here in Tennessee. He had an opportunity to play in this game and ended up fumbling and turning the ball over. Ryan Tannehill’s time is over so it appears that this is Will Levis’ job to lose now. So far, he looks like the right man for it.

Panthers Finally Get A Victory

People in the world today always say that good things comes to those who wait. Well, the waiting doesn’t have to happen any longer as the Carolina Panthers have finally won their first game of the season as the defeated the Houston Texans 15-13. This was surely a close call. In fact, the Texans were favored in this matchup. This was a game where the number one pick in Bryce Young was taking on Houston’s CJ Stroud who was the number two pick. Both QB’s are in very similar situations this season. They both have running backs that are capable of being a threat downhill. Texans running back came in as a rookie last season and nearly rushed for 1,000 yards as he finished the season with 939 yards. Newly acquired Miles Sanders was with the Philadelphia Eagles last season and rushed for 1,269 yards. Sanders has missed a few games thus far for the Panthers this season. Both backs have struggled this season. The other similarity with these two teams and quarterbacks is the fact that they don’t have any weapons on the outside. However, CJ Stroud has been able to make magic happen. Bryce Young has struggled a bit this year, however, he came out on top in this game and will look to build upon this victory.
