Another week has past, and yet another loss once again for the Washington Commanders. This now makes five losses in a row for the Commanders as the LA Rams defeated them 28-20. That score may be a bit misleading as the Commanders were able to get some touchdowns late in the game in what many would call garbage time. The Rams were in full possession of winning this game early and pretty much changed gears to cruise control. Things got so bad for the Commanders, they ended up changing gears as well as they removed Quarterback Sam Howell from this game due to the offense struggling. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett replaced Howell and looked like a new engine of a car in which the Commanders desperately needed as he threw for 124 yards on 8/10 passing from the field. Additionally, he threw two touchdowns in this game too. Now, the Commanders have always had their shuffle of Quarterbacks over these last couple of years.

This is just Sam Howell’s first season as a full time starter and now there seems to be a feeling of doubt with him. Howell has done everything he possibly could do to help this team win as he is leading the league in passing yards. The facts are the facts here. That offensive line could use some help. You can’t place the blame on Howell. You have to feel bad for the kid too because he has been solid all season long. The Commanders always seems to get in their own way and they may be doing that yet again here by benching Sam Howell. Sometimes, a benching is shown to be tough love. However, this may seem a bit confusing to him and it may lead to self doubt and lowered confidence. The Commanders may regret benching Sam Howell.
