Focusing on this season and the postseason run for the New York Knicks, has brought back an aura to Madison Square Garden similar to those years in the 90s. Even when one of their star players, Julius Randle, went down in the season with a shoulder injury that would sideline him for the remainder of the season, they didn’t waver. Led by all-star guard, Jalen Brunson, the Knicks were able to secure the number 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. They also notched a 50-win season in the process.

Coach Tom Thibodeau has leaned heavily on Brunson, but he has also relied on Brunson’s running mates from Villanova, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo. During this playoff run, the injury bug would again bite the Knicks but they continued to push through, weather the storm, and win games. However, the Knicks fanbase has been in lockstep with the team because of their maximum effort and they’re loving every minute of it. Regardless, of how this season ends for the New York Knicks, they will be a staple in the Eastern Conference.
