At the start of the game, the Towson Tigers won the coin toss and deferred to Richmond. The Spiders offense was up first, and they marched down the field to score the first points of the game. That touchdown was a result of a Camden Coleman connection with Landon Ellis for a 13-yard TD reception. Towson’s first possession of the game ended as fast as it started because of a fumble that was recovered by the Spiders. Richmond added three more points to their score after a 21-yard field goal by Sean O’Haire to give them a 9-0 lead. The Tigers were able to string together a few plays to put themselves into scoring position. Towson’s Devin Matthews would score on a 1-yard TD run to bring the score to 9-7. The connection between Coleman and Ellis would occur again after a 10-yard TD reception for his second of the day. Both teams would trade field goals right before halftime with the score being 19-10 in favor of the Spiders.

Coming out of halftime, Towson cut into their deficit after a 4-yard TD run by Tyrell Greene, Jr. However, Richmond responded with a 47-yard field goal by Sean O’Haire. Going into the fourth quarter, Richmond held on to a 22-17 lead. On the Next possession, Jabril Hayes of the Richmond Spiders was able to return his interception 90 yards for the touchdown. Just when you thought that the momentum had completely swung to Richmond, Towson’s Sean Brown found John Dunmore for an 80-yard TD reception to bring this game back to a one-possession game. This would be Towson’s last chance because Richmond kicked two field goals to keep the game at a two-score game. The final score of the game was 35-24 with Richmond continuing its win streak and undefeated record within the conference. The Spider’s next game is November 9th against Campbell and Towson’s next game is on the same day against Hampton at home.
