The Inconsistencies Of The ODU Monarchs (11-23-24)

The ODU Monarchs have had a rollercoaster type of season thus far this season. There have been some good, happy moments within ODU when they were able to get a winning streak going. On the flip side of that, there have been some sad and unfortunate moments too as the losing streaks break back through.
After winning three straight games, the Monarchs have now loss three straight games as well. The ground they had made up has quickly gone away. At this point, the season now feels loss. Initially, it felt like the Monarchs were cooking something nice and sweet for us. Now, it feels as if the main dish has spoiled and gone rotten.
A major reason why the Monarchs went on their three game winning and losing streak is centered around their defense. During the winning streak, they held their opponents under 20 points. During their losing streak, their opponents way above 20 points and their points have only gone up as each week passes by.
The Monarchs are hoping to finish this season strong as they are visiting Arkansas State to take on the Red Wolves Saturday November 30th at 3PM. Will ODU play with some pride? That remains to be seen. If anything, one thing for sure is the Monarchs better come prepared with clear eyes, a full heart, and a determination in their minds that they can’t lose if they want that momentum to be carried over for next season.
