(Day 4) Top seeds advance to face off in the title game

(1) #2 UVA 84 vs #3 Miami 62

It’s official that UVA has finally returned to the title game with an outstanding performance against Miami to advance to the ACC title game.  In a game when a player shoots 50% from the field, 40% from three, and 90% from the foul line it is a great game, so when a team performs with those stats they become very hard to beat.  When your opponent stops two scorers, Shelton Henderson and Tru Washington have the same number of points per shot attempt, with Henderson at 12 and Washington at 13. UVA was led by a committee as they had 5 players in double figures led by Ugonna Onyenso who had 17 points. The Hoos are poised for an ACC title as they await the winner of the Duke/Clemson game.

(2) #1 Duke vs #5 Clemson

Cameron Boozer, candidate for national player of the year led the charge with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and only 9 shot attempts while displaying efficiency all night long.  Twin brother Cayden had one of his best games in a Duke uniform with 16 points. The two of them were tied at the end of the first half with Clemson scoring 22 points.  If you told Clemson Isaiah Evans would go 1-9 with 6 points you would think you would be in the mix of things at the end.  Well, that was not the case out rebounded 41-27 while being held to 38% shooting from the field.  Clemson was led by RJ Godfrey with 18 points but it will be Duke facing UVA in the ACC championship game.
