We travel south of to what normally is our final race of the season to Homestead-Miami Speedway. It is the first time since March fans have been in the stands. They invited 1,000 military personnel and first responders plus their families to the track. It is a warm and humid day in Florida so heat will be a factor. We did get to go racing for about five laps and then lightening struck within a two mile radius of the track. After a little over two hours the drivers are back in the car and ready to back racing. Most of the drivers were saving fuel and keep the engines cool leading to the restart. They are racing between two and three wide. Brad Keselowski made a huge move running up top by the wall to get pass Martin Truex Jr. The drivers go three wide after we got back racing from the competition caution brought out by Ryan Newman. We are watching a three way battle for first through third between Chase Elliott, Tyler Reddick, and Joey Logano. Chase Elliott gets is for a little bit before we are parked again for weather. Once we got back under way, Ryan Blaney and Chase battled each other for a while. Until Denny Hamlin got around Chase Elliott for second place. The other big news is Tyler Reddick being a huge mover on the track. Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin battle it out as we come to the end of the first stage. Denny Hamlin will win stage one.

Will Denny Hamlin win another race at Homestead?
Denny Hamlin wins the race off of pit road and he will battle it out with Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney again. Blaney will win the battle for a little bit and lead several laps. However, Denny Hamlin does not let him get to far away from him. Denny will take back the number one position while drivers have green flag pit stops. Denny will go on to win stage two as well with a five second lead over Tyler Reddick.

Once again Denny Hamlin and his pit crew help him win the battle off of pit road. Multiple drivers are three wide throughout the track. We get our sixth caution with something happening between Joey Logano and Ryan Newman. Most of the action is happening behind the top five drivers. But we are still experiencing a lot of battles up front. Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, and Denny Hamlin all trade places some back and forth. We go through another set of green flag pit stops and as long as nothing crazy happens the drivers should be good until the end of the race. At the end Chase Elliott tries to chase Denny Hamlin to win but he came up shy. Denny Hamlin is our unofficial winner of Homestead.
