JACKSONVILLE-The Jacksonville Jaguars completed a major comeback in the AFC Wild Card game vs. the Chargers. After being down 27-0 with 4:25 left in the 1st half, the Jaguars looked to be down and out. Trevor Lawrence’s four first-half interceptions almost sent Jacksonville to their doom, but their perseverance would prove otherwise outscoring Los Angeles 31-3 from that point on. Jaguars Kicker Riley Patterson would knock down a 36-yard field to win 31-30 and advance to the AFC Divisional round to take on the #1 seed Kansas City Chiefs.
Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence went 28 for 47 with 288 yards passing and four passing touchdowns and four interceptions. Evan Engram grabbed seven receptions with 93 yards receiving and a touchdown. Travis Etienne had 20 carries and 109 yards rushing.
Chargers star running back Austin Ekeler carried the football 13 times for 35 yards and scored two touchdowns. In his first playoff action, Justin Herbert went 25 for 43 with 274 yards and a touchdown. Gerald Everett caught six balls for 109 yards and a touchdown.
The Jaguars will travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs on Saturday, January 21st at 4:30 PM from Arrowhead Stadium.
