Early in the game, we had the arrival of Hampton as they came out and produced a well-scripted possession for 4 minutes and 48 seconds capped off by Elijah Burris for a 5-yard run. That would be a great start for the Pirates however after that first possession everything went William and Mary’s way as they continued to pound the ground however the air attack was very efficient as Darrius Wilson threw for 198 yards on 16 of 19 passing. He also rushed for 82 yards on 11 carries as the third leading rusher with Malachi Imoh rushing for 95 yards on 12 carries while workhorse Bronson Yoder had 117 yards on 19 carries while each runner scored a touchdown while Imoh had 2.

With a 35-7 lead and 6:52 left, that all changed as the Tribe pulled the starters and the future looked bright and secure as Sophomore Quarterback Tyler Hughes came in and ran for 56 yards and capped off the possession with an 8-yard touchdown run. He was only getting started as he compiled 130 yards on 3 carries and 2 touchdowns with his second being 66 yards. That closed the game out with the Tribe amounting to 633 yards of offense while holding Hampton to 214 total yards. This was a dominant effort by the Tribe as they moved to 4-1 with a trip to Towson on October 5 at 6 pm.
