Super Bowl 52: “Robb’s 3 Ways to Win”

Super Bowl Sunday is fast approaching and I’m seeing too much chatter on the internet and television about who is going to win. I will keep this simple and give a simple and easy breakdown. This is called Robb’s top three! The top three ways that both of these teams can win a super Bowl on February 4, 2017 and some other little factors that you should know about.

Eagles

·         Eagles running game must show up. Jay Ajayi must step up and play big against the Patriots. In three career games against the Patriots, Ajayi has 28 carries for 75 yards. This will not get it done.

·         The Eagles must stay discipline in the secondary. The Patriots offensive line will not give up a bunch of sacks. Stop comparing the Eagles to the 2008 Giants. The Patriots have many more weapons this go around and the line is tasked with keeping Brady safe like the secret service for the President. The Eagles must bring exotic blitz packages and not only that they must beat Brady up and make him feel it. Sacking a quarterback is a stat, but if even you can’t sack him get to him and make him feel you some type of way.

·         They cannot get cute! This means do what you have been doing to get here. Use the tight ends, do not try to become the Rams and the greatest show on turf. The Eagles dominated the Vikings at home in the NFC title game. Once a upon a time, the Giants did as well and got ran over by the Ravens. Not comparing, but the Vikings historically have struggled on the road in the playoffs. The Vikings are 3-23 all time on the road in the playoffs, just pointing out some facts. The Vikings defense is also very overrated, the more I studied them the more I realized they had many leaking holes. The Eagles were the hurricanes that came through and make the roof collapse. This will not happen to a much more prepared and organized team in the New England Patriots.

Patriots

·         Tom Brady mind games. Tom Brady is smart enough to know that they are walking into the unknown. If Carson Wentz was playing the Patriots could ease their way into this game and try to figure things out, but this is not the case they are playing a wounded animal that have nothing to lose and are looking to attack until they get their ultimate prize. So I believe a key for Patriots is to come out with more urgency than they ever have. I’m talking no huddles, a cheap shot here or there. Little things to intimate the wounded animal and slow down it’s momentum and make them confused and start second guessing themselves. If the Patriots can win the mind games early, then this game has to the potential to be ugly. The Patriots will show a Brady that is more hungry than he has ever been and a defense that will try to remind Nick Foles just who the hell he really is. A back up quarterback trying to beat the greatest coach and player of all-time.

·         James Harrison gets pressure on the Eagles and forces turnovers. Harrison is a huge X factor and the Eagles coaches on offense are worried.

·         The Patriots are able to get quick passes and get the ball to the running backs in space, and getting the tight ends involved. I guarantee that the Patriots coaching staff watched the two games that the Eagles played the Giants. In those games combined the Eagles gave up fifty-three points combined. Eli Manning threw for 800 yards combined. Kirk Cousins threw for only 543 in two games and Dak Prescott threw for 324. So trust me the Patriots have gone back to the film and they have weaknesses exposed about the Philadelphia Eagles.

Sleepers to watch in this game

Eagles:

·         The Eagles is the offensive line being about to keep Foles clean.

Patriots:

·         Dwayne Allen, Phillip Dorsett. Both guys are explosive and this is the perfect game for one to breakout, the two players are both former Colts.

Look for my prediction on Sunday February 4, 2018 close to game time.
