2018 Washington Nationals Projected Lineup
By:Adam Falls
The 2018 Washington Nationals projected starting lineup looks good as it gets. This lineup is loaded up and down and has the potential to make opposing pitchers look silly. Adam Eaton, Trea Turner, and Bryce Harper look likely to hold down the first three spots, with Eaton and Turner’s solid bats likely to get on in front of Harper they should provide Harper some protection from being walked a lot with Rendon batting cleanup behind them. The lineup behind then is no easy task as well Daniel Murphy, Ryan Zimmerman, Michael A. Taylor, and the power hitting catcher Matt Weiters round up the lineup with of course the starter pitcher batting in the ninth spot. Don’t let the pitchers spot in the lineup fool you, Max Scherzer as well as Stephen Strasburg have decent bats and can hurt you as well.
With everything being said this offense has the potential to help the Nationals make a deep run in October. the 2017 season saw the Nationals exiting in the NLDS and put a damper on a disappointing season for Nats fans. As for the 2018 season I’m looking for Bryce Harper to have an MVP caliber season and the Nationals to make a deep October run and win the World Series. That’s right you heard it here first. Bryce Harper wins MVP and the Nationals win the World Series. With that lineup that produces base runners and power throughout, the Nationals should have no problem dominating the NL East and running trough the playoffs and finish the season the way it should with a World Championship. The 2018 Nationals lineup is packed and ready to dominate!
