The MVP has come down to a two man race. Kevin Durant “KD” has missed too many games, and has proved himself to be unreliable with this temper since joining the Golden State Warriors. Anthony Davis is injury prone, plus he pulled a fast one with his April Fool’s joke. Damian Lillard is an interesting thought, but are the Blazers really a true contender? I like DeMar DeRozan, but I don’t love DeMar DeRozan. He’s had a heck of a season, but he’s cooled off a bit. Toronto is thinking big picture, and they really have emphasized getting their bench more involved and have taken a lot of pressure off of DeRozan. That is why I say the MVP race is down to 2 players, LeBron James and James Harden. Before we discuss anything, let’s look at the numbers…

“The Beard” Vs. “The King”

Wins – James Harden

Points – James Harden

Rebounds – LeBron James

Assist – LeBron James

Steals – James Harden

Blocks – LeBron James

Better Team – James Harden

Player Effeciency Rating – James Harden

The fact of the matter is Lebron James is the best player in the world. You can bring him to any franchise and they will instantly become a playoff team. This award is hard to distribute every season, and it’s becoming even more difficult by the second.
Harden has been snubbed of this award for the last 2 seasons. This year, I think that changes. Harden deserves this award. Not only do The Rockets have the best record in The West, they have the best record in the entire league. Beating out and outplaying The Warriors shouldn’t go unnoticed either! Harden’s defense has improved drastically over the years. Along with that, he has become a better leader both on and off the court. This team is drama-free, and Harden has hit big shots all season long. He should definitely be our MVP this season.
