The VCU Rams were starting to look hot, now they are extremely cold. The Rams lost their second straight game on Tuesday night, this time to the Davidson Wildcats 63-61.
Vince Williams led the team with sixteen points, while Ace Baldwin and KeShawn Curry both poured in ten points for the Rams. The Rams won many categories on Tuesday, the one alarming stat not in their favor was 30-19. This represents how the Rams were outrebounded by the Wildcats. The Wildcats now 15-2 on the season took every punch from the Rams and still pulled out the two-point win on the road.
The Rams started to show some consistency and now that consistency has turned back into early-season concerns. The now 10-6 Rams will look to right the ship on this upcoming Saturday against St. Joe’s who are currently 7-8 on the season. The Rams’ next three games are critical in their quest for March.
Their next game on the road is against Davidson on Wednesday, January 26th, then they travel up the road to their rival the Richmond Spiders on Saturday, January 29th for a 4 pm match-up.
