Jaguars Win The AFC South, Clinch Playoff Berth (1-7-23)

JACKSONVILLE-The Jacksonville Jaguars clinched the AFC South and a playoff birth for the first time since 2017 with the a 20-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Jacksonville trailed the entire game until their was 2:51 seconds left in the 4th quarter when Jaguars Defensive End Josh Allen picked up a fumble and took it to the house for a 37-yard touchdown run. The touchdown gave Jacksonville a 20-16 lead which they were able to hold on to for the victory.
Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence went 20 for 32 with 212 yards passing and one passing touchdown. Christian Kirk grabbed six receptions with 99 yards receiving and a touchdown. The NFL’s leading tackler Foyesade Oluokun had 13 tackles (8 solo), a sack and one tackle for loss in the win.
Titans workhorse and star running back Derrick Henry carried the football 30 times for 109 yards. Six year veteran and former Pittsburgh Steelers 4th round pick Josh Dobbs got the start over rookie Malik Willis. Dobbs went 20 for 29 with 179 yards passing, a touchdown and a interception in the loss.
The Jaguars will host Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday January 14th at 8:15 PM from TIAA Bank Stadium.
