Imagine getting a new job where you do the same things except, you do not travel, earn more money, and can practice more than ever. This is exactly what happened to the player who went to the LIV Tour. Many people seem to forget the talent that the LIV Tour has on its roster. As we approach The Masters. Many names are talked about such as Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Jon Rahm. Many forget that former Masters winner Dustin Johnson will be attending and Open Champion Cam Smith along with other major winners will attend. These names are not talked about because of the tour they have chosen to play for.

I believe that when a player can practice in a comfortable environment, not traveling all over the country that player will be more likely to perform at a higher level. This is an aspect I believe the player from the LIV Tour will benefit from the most. The players who are representing LIV or not players who are not established. Some names have won majors and some also understand what it means to win specifically at Augusta.

Although the PGA has its hero Scottie Scheffler, the LIV Tour has players to combat that. I believe one player, in particular, will have what it takes to give the LIV Tour bragging rights in the first combined tournament. That player is Cam Smith.

Cam Smith had a historic year last year. He won the Players and Open Championship while making a close finish in last year’s Masters. Smith has not been talked about much specifically because he decided to join the tour. However, just because the media will not mention him do not forget about the proven player he has shown to be.
