The Texans Have Found Their Guy

The days of DeShaun Watson are long gone in the land of Houston. Watson was considered the man in that city! He was everything the Texans wanted and needed. The connection between him and DeAndre Hopkins was one that every team in the league would want between a star quarterback and wide receiver. Ever since that Watson situation went down, the Texans have been trying to find themselves. While they still have s lot of work to do, we can honestly say that the Houston Texans are on the verge of greatness. Drafting Dameon Pierce last season was a huge benefit for them. He has proven to be one of the better running backs in the league now. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done on the outside as far as weapons go. However, drafting QB CJ Stroud may have been their best move. The man is a magician in the pocket. He is simply playing football the right way. He’s playing the position the way it ought to be played. CJ may very well go on and win rookie of the year as he has passed for over 1,400 yards to go along with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions. They really need to find him some talented weapons. Stroud is playing strong despite the lack of depth there and he is spreading the ball around to everyone. The Houston Texans will be a playoff team within the next three seasons.

Is Bill Belichick On Thin Ice?

The New England Patriots haven’t fallen to 1-4 on the season. Things seem to be going from bad to worst for this team. Early on, after Tom Brady’s departure to Tampa Bay, there was hope for this Patriots team. They drafted Mac Jones out of Alabama. The running game was solid and the defense of course is always solid as well. Mac Jones even made the pro bowl his first year with the team. However, he has regressed and is getting worst as the season and days go on. He was benched last week versus the Dallas Cowboys. The game was ugly and it wasn’t going to change so Bill Belichick set him down. This past week, they loss 34-0 to the New Orleans Saints AT HOME! Billy Belichick benched Mac Jones yet again. These last couple of weeks have been rough for this team. The question that is floating in everyone’s mind is this: Is it time to move on from Billy Belichick. We live in a time and era where offense matters. Scoring is the most important thing in the NFL. Bill wants to bench Mac Jones. He wants to blame their struggles on him. He has done so two weeks in a row now. It’s not his fault. Mac Jones has made a pro bowl. He has showed signs of being able to play in this league. Sometimes it feels like Belichick has too much control of everything. It is his way or the highway. This team needs a new face. It needs a new leader. Belichick’s hands are in too many pots. He hasn’t made great draft choices over the years. They aren’t developing well either. This could very well be the last season of Billy Belichick in the NFL.
