Which Teams Would Have Benefited From Making Some Moves at the NFL Trade Deadline

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have a new team with a new quarterback this season. Aaron Rodgers has played well, however, we can tell he’s definitely not the Rodgers of old. Quite frankly, he is starting to show his age and look old. They have a good chance at winning the division this season with Joe Burrow out for the year and Lamar Jackson missing so many games. To help close the season out strong, the Steelers could benefit from bringing in a big time contributor offensively. They need someone who could carry the load for them. Alvin Kamara would be great with this team.

Philadelphia Eagles

This team has faced so much criticism all season. Some of it has been self inflicted with AJ Brown causing some distractions. The changing of the guard within the offensive coordinator position hasn’t been good either and Jalen Hurts will always continue to receive criticism despite him playing at an MVP type level this season. This team loss a lot of pieces defensively from last year’s Super Bowl run. They have already made a lot of moves, shaking up their secondary and their pass rush. The Eagles are now ready to defend their title as they are coming off of a bye week.

Indianapolis Colts

One of the biggest surprises this season has been how successful the Colts have been. What may be an even bigger surprise is how successful Daniel Jones have been. He was traded from the New York Giants because they didn’t believe in him. With some confidence and faith from the team and coaching staff, he looks like the franchise quarterback the Colts have been desperately searching for. However, as they prepare for the second half of the season, assuming the will win the division and make the playoffs, they will need more than just a star weapon within the running back position. Jonathan Taylor has been impressive. This team needs a number one option in the passing game. Credit needs to go to Jones for spreading the ball around. However, when the postseason gets here, he will need a number one target. Someone may need to rescue Chris Olave from the New Orleans Saints.

Carolina Panthers

Don’t look now, but the Panthers are actually playing good football this season. They have already matched their win total from last season and surpassed their win total from the year before. Bryce Young isn’t necessarily wow’ing everyone. However, he is playing well for what he has. They are competing in a division where every team has good quality weapons in both the passing game and the running game. The Panthers could benefit from acquiring a big time target. Ultimately, that would help Young in his development. However, what they really need is a pass rusher. They need someone who is able to put some pressure on the quarterback and force turnovers. That would give Young good field position and set the offense up for easy points.

Denver Broncos

Last season, Bo Nix was a surprise to many. He played well all season as he led the Broncos to the playoffs. They were put in a tough position as they had to play Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, which ultimately resulted in an early playoff loss. However, Nix has proved last season wasn’t a one season wonder for him or the Broncos. This season, they beat some good teams in the Eagles, Cowboys, and the 49ers. Nix looks sharp, his offensive line is protecting him, and the defense is good as always with Patrick Surtain. However, Surtain is going to be out for a while now due to injury. It may be a good idea for the Broncos to be buyers this season and look to bring in some help defensively to help stay on course without their defensive leader.
