What a Week for VCU: 5 Things I Have Observed About the Men’s and Women’s programs.
By:Robb Johnson
1. Justin Tillman scored 37 easy points against Dayton and could have had 50 if he wanted.
2. The VCU men are talented and will go as far as they want. If they want it bad enough in the A10 tournament. Rhode Island is great. But VCU can hang with them if they stay discipline and do the little things right.
3. The VCU woman are going to be a force in two years. They are young. They are fierce. The VCU woman led by Taya Robinson and Tera Reed are going to be next in line of VCU’s great players. I guarantee that!
4. The VCU culture is excellent. The fans are not nasty, the cheerleaders are diverse in many ways. The atmosphere is electric at the Men’s and Women’s games.
5. Both programs are on the rise and no longer the underdogs. Its funny how both the men and women went into overtime after giving up a huge leads during their games over the weekend. Then both won in overtime. The men are over .500, the woman are not. However, if you really study how young the teams are and the potential. They are mirror images of each other.
