Have you ever heard someone say there isn’t enough time in a day before? Most people in America work five days a week. That only leaves them two days to have to themselves. Those two days may consist of more work they have to do for themselves but they try to sprinkle in a little excitement as well. The next thing you know, they have to rest up and get ready for work all over again. We all need time to get things done. If you don’t have any free time, you’ll never be successful at accomplishing your goals.

That may be the case for QB Sam Howell. He has proven to be a solid Quarterback in the NFL. However, we haven’t seen the best of him. Well, why haven’t we seen the best of him? Because he hasn’t had enough time in the pocket for us to see the best of him. Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles had the best offensive line in the NFL. What did that do for them? Well, they went to the Super Bowl and had the best record in the NFL. Jalen Hurts isn’t the best Quarterback in the league. However, he had time in the pocket to help him out in the long run.

The Commanders took a tough loss over the weekend to a division rival in the New York Giants. What hurts is they were playing with their backup Quarterback Tyrod Taylor and the Commanders still managed to let this one get away. Defensively, the Commanders played pretty well. They only gave up 14 total points which was all scored in the second quarter. Offensively however, is where things got out of hand. Sam Howell was sacked a total of six times for a loss of 52 yards. He simply didn’t have enough time in the pocket to handle his business. If this offensive line doesn’t improve, this season may get out of hand as the Commanders have fallen to 3-4. They will host the Philadelphia Eagles next week.
